This is an unassembled 1:100 scale Titan IIIC flying rocket model built by Model Products. It is based on a rocket that was used by the U.S. Air Force to launch a variety of payloads into space. The model has a plastic body, fins, nosecone, and parachute. A solid propellant rocket motor propels the model, and then at the end of the vertical flight it forces the release of a parachute. The model is then retrieved and can be used again. Not included in this kit are the motor, the launch controller that is used to ignite the motor, and the launch pad from which the model is launched.

G. Harry Stine, one of the American pioneers in the field of flying rocket models, donated this model.

This object is on display in Nation of Speed at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC.
