MISSISSIPPI CHEMICAL
Liz Clark is one of three pilots who work for Mississippi Chemical Corporation. They fly company personnel in a Beech King Air 200 and a Beechjet 400 (shown here) between the company's fertilizer plants in Yazoo and Pascagoula, Mississippi, and Baton Rouge, Louisiana; potash mines in Carlsbad, New Mexico; and ammonia plant in Trinidad in the Caribbean. Direct flight time from Jackson Hawkins Field, Mississippi, to Carlsbad is two and a half hours; commercial travel requires an entire day.

Clayton Homes of Knoxville, Tennessee, is a manufactured housing company with retail centers, manufacturing plants, and residential communities in 28 states. The company operates a Cessna 310, Piper PA 31-350, Beech King Air 200, and Cessna Citation Ultra business jet (pictured here). The aircraft are piloted by the company owner and four other pilots. The aviation department is centrally located and gives management and engineers access to most company facilities in just a few hours.

SENECA FOODS
Seneca Foods of Rochester, New York, produces canned fruits, vegetables, snack foods, and juices under Seneca, Libby, and other labels. It operates 21 food processing plants and 2 can manufacturing plants in eight states. Seneca purchased its first plane--a Beechcraft Bonanza--in 1956. Today Seneca Flight Operations in Penn Yan, New York, employs 12 pilots and operates a Beech Baron B58, a Beech King Air C90, and four jets: a Cessna Citation 500, a Cessna Citation II, and, for longer flights, a Dassault Falcon 10 and a Cessna Citation VII. Seneca Flight Operations also runs a private charter business.
