In the Museum

In Jules Verne's 1865 novel, From the Earth to the Moon, a group of men traveled to the Moon in a bullet-shaped spacecraft shot from a powerful gun. A scale model of the plushly appointed craft Verne imagined is displayed in the Museum's Rocketry and Space Flight gallery.
