Discovery Stations
Volunteers engage visitors in hands-on exploration of artifacts and teaching materials related to five general subject areas: commercial aviation, space history, astronomy, planetary geology and the invention of powered, human-controlled flight. Volunteers choose one subject area and training is provided. Opportunities are available for weekdays and weekends.
Discovery Stations are presented at both the National Mall building in Washington, DC and at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, VA. To volunteer, download the volunteer application and fax or mail it to the appropriate program coordinator listed below.
