About This Site
This new online research site, Black WingsAfrican American Pioneers
in Aviation, is dedicated to the memory of Theodore (Ted) W. Robinson
(19262001). Read more about Teds
many contributions to the Museum.
This website was produced to provide educators and researchers with
resources that will enhance their study of American history and, in
particular, the history of African American pioneer aviators. The
website also compliments the Museums exhibition, Black
Wings: The American Black in Aviation and the tour, African
Americans in Air and Space. To schedule a group visit to the Museum,
review the tour and scheduling information on the Educational Services
web pages at www.nasm.si.edu/edu
