With 20 years in informal education, Beth Crownover guides the National Air and Space Museum's Education team in leveraging the Museum’s collections and science to engage the next generation of innovators and explorers by tapping into their natural curiosity and fostering their critical thinking skills. She is particularly interested in how museums can increasingly become an integral partner with established learning ecosystems.

During her tenure at The Field Museum in Chicago, major accomplishments include the development of an early childhood learning environment - the Crown Family PlayLab, overseeing the renovation of the N. W. Harris Learning Collection, a 100-year-old lending library of objects as well as the construction of the Grainger Digital Media Studio and Grainger Science Hub. Additionally, she shepherded a PreK-3 science reform program, the Early Elementary Science Partnership, through its successful pilot phase and has worked with partners to establish a second cohort of the program in partnership with area parochial schools. She has also worked with colleagues to establish a new way for learners of all abilities to engage in Field Museum collections through Field for All.

Crownover has a BA with majors in history and religion and an emphasis in Education and an Executive Scholar Certificate for Nonprofit Management from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.
