General Thomas D. White United States Air Force Space Trophy

The White Space Trophy is awarded annually to a unit, member, or civilian employee of the U.S. Air Force for an outstanding contribution to progress in astronautics during the preceding year. The trophy was established by the National Geographic Society in 1961 and was named in honor of then Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Thomas D. White.
