Movietonews Newsfilm.

Film; 1919-1963; ca. 800,000 feet within 60 million feet of 35 mm. film.
Movietonews was started in September 1919 and continued until September 1963, amassing the largest collection of newsfilm in the world during that period, while producing two newsreels per week. Twentieth Century-Fox announced in 1980 that all would be donated to the University. Finding aid available, partly computerized.

Harvard-Boston Aviation Meet.

Photographs; 1910; 1 album with 142 mounted photographs; 38 lantern slides.
The Harvard-Boston Aviation Meet was held at Atlantic, September 3-13, 1910. Some photographs were taken on the aviation field for the Boston Globe during the meet and a for the Boston Globe during the meet and a few during the exhibition of flying by Claude Grahame-White alone, September 23, 1910. The 38 lantern slides were originally labeled as the Harvard-Boston Aviation Meet, but instead may be the International Aviation Meet, Grant Park, Chicago, 19ll; they include portraits of aviators with planes, planes in flight, crashes, and divers in a vain attempt to recover the body of St. Croix Johnstone.
