SOURCES OF EARTH AND PLANETARY PHOTOGRAPHY

INTRODUCTION

This is a guide to obtaining photographic and cartographic data products from spacecraft and aircraft missions. It is divided into four parts:
1) Earth photographs and images
2) Lunar and Planetary photography,
3) Cartographic products, and
4) National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

Following these sections is an alphabetical listing of the agencies listed in this guide for quick reference.

The Earth section is arranged by type of product. Under each product is a brief description of the data and a list of sources where they can be obtained.

The Lunar and Planetary section is arranged by source. A brief description of products and services is included. Also included in this section is a list of commercial companies and government agencies who sell space photographs and related items.

The Cartographic section is ordered by type of map and then by agency.

The NASA section lists Public Affairs Offices of the research facilities around the country and Teacher Resource Centers.

The appendices include price lists and/or sample order forms for most of the products listed but it is recommended that prices be verified prior to ordering since all information is subject to change.

Every effort has been made to verify that all information in this guide is accurate and up to date. Any discrepancies should be sent to:
